Find Your Signature Style And Do You

How do you find your signature style? Do you admire your favorite celebrities relaxed denim paired with an oversized sweater? Or, that girl in history class whose outfit is always on fleek. Some people make looking good, look so easy and it can be easy for you too!

These six tips will help you build your signature style so you look and feel beautiful and are ready to face the day in a moments notice.

Our clothes show off our unique personalities so I don’t suggest keeping your fashion choices in a box, but finding your signature style can help create a wardrobe with endless outfit possibilities. Investing in staple pieces lets you put a polished look together in minutes and instead of a bunch of random pieces, your closet will have stylish building blocks to choose from.

1. FIND YOUR CELEBRITY STYLE CRUSH

The celebs with wardrobes you’d like to raid can provide you with fashion inspiration and don’t worry if you can’t squeeze designer clothes into your budget. Search for affordable copycat versions of your favorite outfits and make the look your own by adding a personal twist!

2. FASHION BLOGGERS ARE YOUR FRIEND

Thanks to social media, there’s no shortage of style icons online. Fashion bloggers can be just as influential as celebs, but they’re often more relatable. No matter your shape, size, style, or budget, anyone can find a style they’d love to emulate on Pinterest or Instagram.

3. INVEST IN A FEW STATEMENT PIECES

When you have a few good quality wardrobe staples you can re-style them in infinite ways. These pieces anchor your look and help define your signature style. Consider investing in a few versatile items like a tailored blazer, black pumps, a quality pair of denim jeans and one or two pieces of designer jewelry that are timelessly stylish. Any of these items can upgrade an entire outfit. Whether you’re wearing a cocktail dress or your favorite t-shirt these items can upgrade any outfit. In fear of sounding like a Kanye West song, “that’s why you always see me with at least one of my watches.”

4. EMPHASIZE YOUR BEST ASSETS

Whether you choose classic pieces or you prefer fresh-off-the-runway fashion, your wardrobe should always emphasize your best assets. Trends aside, if you don’t feel comfortable in the newest craze in clothing, don’t force yourself to wear it. Alternately, it’s good to try out new silhouettes because they may become the most flattering thing in your closet. The point is, you should always stay true to yourself because a good fit always looks great and never goes out of style.

5. TRY NEW THINGS

There’s a difference between “signature style” and getting fashion boxed. If you buy everything in black or have a stack of jeans all in similar washes you could switch it up with different colors, textures or shapes. The same is true for accessories. If you normally wear delicate jewelry, try a bold piece to really makes a statement. Like our personalities or style can evolve and you may surprise yourself by trying something new and loving it.

6. SHOW OFF YOUR PERSONALITY

When it comes to style the most important thing is to show off your personality. Colorful, sophisticated, edgy, polished or something in between, use fashion to express yourself.

DRESS TO IMPRESS

Building your wardrobe with quality staple pieces can cut down on money wasted on items that never get worn or get worn only a few times, our clothes will last longer and and we can feel good about lessening the negative impact on the environment that the fashion industry and us as consumers have created.
